Track Your Dividend Income Automatically

A dividend tracker is only as good as the holdings it knows about. DivTracker gives you two ways to keep them current, and you can mix both across portfolios.

  • Brokerage sync. Link a US brokerage account through Plaid or SnapTrade and DivTracker imports your positions, then keeps them up to date. Depending on the brokerage, linked portfolios refresh every 24 to 72 hours.
  • Manual holdings. Add a stock or ETF with its shares and average cost, or record individual buy, sell and dividend transactions for a precise history. Manual tracking works on every plan.

Once a holding is in, DivTracker attaches its dividend data: the per-share amount, payment frequency, forward and trailing yield, and your yield on cost. Your annual dividend income is recalculated whenever your positions or a company's dividend change, so the number you see is always based on what you hold today.

If you reinvest, turn on DRIP for the portfolio and future projections will compound your dividends back into shares.

See Upcoming Dividend Payments

The dividend calendar lays out every upcoming event for the stocks and ETFs you own: the ex-dividend date you need to hold the shares by, the date the cash lands in your account, and upcoming earnings dates. Each payout shows the amount you can expect based on your share count, and every month totals your expected dividend income.

Declared dividends are kept separate from estimates, both in the calendar and in the confirmed dividend payouts list on your overview, so you can tell money that is announced from income that is still a projection.

Looking for dividends on stocks you don't own yet? The free ex-dividend calendar lists every stock and ETF going ex-dividend each day. If the different dates are new to you, read how ex-dividend, record and pay dates work.

Forecast Your Annual Dividend Income

DivTracker breaks your income down by month and by holding, so you can see which months are light, which positions carry the portfolio, and how concentrated your income is in a handful of companies.

The portfolio projection looks further ahead. Choose how many years to project, then set your expected dividend growth, share price growth, yearly contribution, a maximum yield cap and whether dividends are reinvested. DivTracker charts how your annual dividend income could develop under those assumptions.

You can also set an annual dividend income goal and track your progress towards it from the overview. Want to test a plan before you sign up? Try the same inputs in the free dividend income calculator.

Get Alerts on Dividend Increases and Cuts

A dividend raise lifts your income without you buying another share, and a cut is often the first sign that something is wrong with a company. Both are easy to miss when you hold dozens of positions.

DivTracker keeps a running list of recent dividend changes across your holdings, showing whether each one was an increase or a decrease, the percentage change and what it does to your annual dividend income. On the Pro and Ultimate plans the iOS app also sends notifications for key events, so you hear about changes without having to check.

What Investors Say

This has to be the best dividend tracking, investment software by far. I had been looking for a long time for a dividend tracker and came across this. Not only does it track your dividends, keeps you updated on news but can also be used on multiple devices. The author is very quick in answering questions and listening to suggestions on updates. Honestly you won’t find a better platform which tracks U.k and USA stocks. If you do please let me know but I’m very confident YOU WONT!

I’ve been using DivTracker for a few years and it’s the best DivTracker app I’ve seen. John is always upgrading the app with new useful features. Top notch support and quite reliable, syncs with my iPhone, keeps me on top of dividend changes etc. Its almost too good a bargain for what it does. Should cost more. (I can’t believe I’m saying that). Terrific job!

Have tried all the dividend trackers in the app store it feels like. And this is by far the best. No errors in dividend amounts or dates, no glitching with ETF dividends, and the new dividend change feature is awesome. Keep up the good work guys!

I had been looking for an app to track multiple portfolios and I could not find one that met my needs. This app not only tracks multiple portfolios but it offers much more information than any other app I came across. The ability to track stock dividends and review projections is amazing. When I loaded my stock funds there were several that were not being tracked by the app. On several days I reached out to have specific funds added to the roster. Each time I received a quick response and the funds were added to the list. Great app and terrific response from. The developer. Bravo.

Dividend Tracking FAQ

How does DivTracker know when my dividends are paid?

DivTracker matches every stock and ETF in your portfolio with dividend data from professional market data providers, refreshed daily. For each holding it knows the declared amount, frequency, ex-dividend date and pay date, and multiplies the per-share amount by the number of shares you hold on the ex-dividend date.

Do I have to connect my brokerage account?

No. You can add holdings manually on every plan, including the free plan. Brokerage linking for US brokerages through Plaid or SnapTrade is part of the Ultimate plan and keeps your holdings in sync automatically.

Can I track ETFs and international stocks?

Yes. DivTracker tracks stocks and ETFs listed on US exchanges, the London Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange, and shows dividend income in the display currency you choose.

How far ahead can I forecast my dividend income?

The portfolio projection lets you choose the number of years along with your expected dividend growth, share price growth, annual contribution and whether dividends are reinvested. You can also try the same assumptions without an account in the free dividend income calculator.
